Arc Welding

Arc welding is a welding process in which an electrical arc is used to heat the metal at the weld point. The anode typically resides on the end of the welding torch and the arc meets the base material at the weld location. The electrical arc is supplied by an arc welding station that delivers either constant power or constant voltage. The length of the arc is determined by the input voltage from the welding station and the amount of heat input at the weld is related to the drive current.
