Magnetic Head Pulley

A head pulley is the lead, or head, pulley used to drive a conveyor belt system. When magnetized, the head pulley can be used as a separator to remove metal pieces from the material being transported on the conveyor system. The metal material clings to the conveyor as it rotates around the head pulley and is either scraped or allowed to fall of the belt on the underside of the conveyor.
