Green Rot
A form of high temperature attack on stainless steels,nickel chromium alloys and nickel chromium iron alloys subjected to simultaneois oxidation and carburization. Basically, attack occurs by first precipitating chromium as chromium carbide, then oxidizing the caarbide particles.
