Spark Testing

This is an inspection method for quickly determining the approxiamte analyst of steel. It is intended primarily for the separation of mixed steel and when properly conducted,is a fast, accurate and economical method of separation. It consists in holding the sample against a high speed grinding wheel and noting the character and color of the spark which is compared with samples of known analysis.
