Above Ground Storage Tank
A container that resides above ground for the purposes of storing various materials such as water, petroleum products, chemicals, and hazardous waste. The design of the storage tank is dictated by the material being contained and the storage conditions, including temperature, pressure, and storage time. Depending on the material being stored, regulations may be defined at the local, national, or international level.
