Fail Safe Braking Systems

Fail safe braking systems are often used in heavy transportation such as trains and trucks to ensure that any failure in the braking system results in a process designed to minimize damage to the vehicle and its passengers. In trains and trucks, air brakes are often used and are desiged such that, in the event of a failure in the system, the brakes are applied and used to bring the vehicle to a stop.
