Bearing Bushes

Bearing Bushes support a cylindrical shaft in a housing. They permit axial rotation while constraining lateral motion. The simplest bearing bushing is a cylindrical sleeve. The inner surface of the bearing bushing is in sliding contact relative to the outer surface of the shaft. Bearing bushings can incorporate low friction materials and coatings, as well as lubrication, to reduce friction, improve efficiency and extend service life.
