Weld Testing Equipment
Weld testing equipment comes in two primary types - non-destructive testing equipment and destructive test equipment. Non-destructive test equipment is used to inspect the quality and structural integrity of a weld joint without sacrificing the joint itself. Ultrasonic testing is a common approach to non-destructive testing. Destructive test equipment includes various load mechanisms used to load and/or fatigue a test weld to provide failure mechanisms and failure limits for welded joints.
