PID Temperature Controllers

Temperature controllers are used to regulate heating elements in process applications. Temperature controllers are feedback devices, using an input sensor to measure the temperature of an object, then the process controller to regulate the heating element in order meet the set point. PID stands for proportional-integral-derivative and is a three-term feedback controller that adjusts parameters such as the heating rate to provide smooth temperature control rather than simple on/off control.
